Vice President, Global Supply Chain

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Procurement. Logistics. Sourcing.  

  • Procure and oversee logistics of product and all aspects of order replenishment
  • Ensure availability of stock in line with company working capital goals
  • Contract management and negotiations with freight and shipping lines
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manage production/delivery targets
  • Responsible for all direct suppliers, domestic and international 
  • Lead the evaluation of suppliers and work to reduce vendor risk by developing scorecards and analyzing vendor performance.
  • Ensure quality standards are met on all in-bound products
  • Build supplier relationships and communication cadence
  • Identify new suppliers for new products, new categories, cost reduction, and capacity improvement (including dual sourcing) needs.   
  • Builds annual cost budget, and manages to the final AOP cost number.  
  • He/she identifies and works on productivity initiatives (new suppliers, working with engineering, etc.) to counter unplanned coss increases, and communicates the status of these initiatives to the appropriate functions.
  • Keeps an updated metrics tracker, with help from finance, of pricing, terms, tariff impact, actual costs vs. budget and productivity project and status.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Entrepreneurial Mindset. Creativity. Drive.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain or Finance or relevant field, required
  • MBA in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, preferred
  • Minimum five years management experience in IT field, including development work and interactions with customers, and/or direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution, required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or The International Project Management Association (IPMA) Certification, preferred
  • Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
  • Strong familiarity with project management software and methodologies (e.g., waterfall/agile/scrum)
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with MS Project, SolidWorks, and SAP 
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Extensive leadership experience and strong teaming abilities
  • Cost and risk management skills
  • Strong organization, time management, problem solving, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Able to troubleshoot problems quickly and thoroughly, make decisions under pressure, and maintain the ability to be tactful in all situations
  • Flexible approach to working hours
