Data Analyst (Data Governance)

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for defining and executing the master product data governance framework for SAP and non-SAP systems (PIM/Akeneo). This SAP SME will lead product data creation and maintenance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to governance standards. This person will work closely with cross functional data owners to establish business impacts, needs/requirements, and functional specifications, as well as, develop and document Act processes to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO. Plan. Manage. Secure.

  • Act as the gatekeeper for product data governance based on key system and business requirements
  • Be the data expert on SAP and own the data creation process and ongoing maintenance for high accuracy
  • Be the PIM expert for all things Akeneo 
  • Define master data collection process utilizing standard tools to effectively manage
  • Develop standards, guidelines, and processes to consistently address master data issues such as data standards and data synchronization, and work with other functional owners to standardize 
  • Research, analyze and remedy master data issues that impact downstream reporting and analysis
  • Train functional teams on data quality standards and structure in the key systems, provide periodic navigation training for new users, and establish training resources
  • Ensure a stage gate process is in place to align project completion with specific business activities
  • Onboard new customers through partnership with Sales team to understand needs and requirements 
  • Manage projects, field questions, resolve issues and navigate matters relating to product master data and functional teams/processes
  • Perform mass-maintenance operations on existing master data
  • Monitor master data attributes and correct inconsistencies through periodic reviews
  • Support SAP implementation and upgrade projects and migration activities

WHAT YOU WILL NEED. Energy. Initiative. Urgency. 

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related, highly preferred
  • Min. 3-5 years’ work experience in master data/data governance (SAP)
  • Strong understanding of SAP and non-ERP Master Data
  • Project management experience, a plus
