CNC Operator

The CNC Operator operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC operator loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintains a safe, organized, and clean work environment. The CNC Operator will operate as a member of the Manufacturing division, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor.

  • Set-up and operate CNC milling machining center.
  • Interpret and work from complex manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and part specifications.
  • Identify the correct tooling to complete the machined parts.
  • Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances.
  • Complete accurate documentation.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards.
  • Leverage the core values and culture to drive accountability and engagement.

  • Promote cooperation within the team and between teams.
  • Additional responsibilities and projects as may be assigned relevant to the position.



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of related experience required.


  • Minimum of two years’ experience of general CNC machining experience with a metal fabricator or an Associate Degree in Machining preferred.
  • Experience with Haas and/or FANUC controls preferred.
  • Experience with raw materials, machines, and tools, uses, repair and maintenance a plus.
  • Strong mathematical, time management, technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit a strong attention to detail.
  • Possess a strong Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Exhibit good work habits and leadership when required to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate the desire to grow professionally and willingness to take on new responsibilities as the business evolves.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Substantial time is spent working on a computer and may be performed primarily in an office setting. Working extended and flexible hours may be requested occasionally. 

Excellent total compensation package, salary contingent upon experience. M/F/V/D
