Associate Product Manager

Central to the product management function, the Associate Product Manager supports and develops the product strategy, manages the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathers and prioritizes product and customer requirements, defines the product vision, and works closely with Engineering and Operations to deliver growth. Working with Sales and Marketing to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met, aligning the product and marketing efforts with the Company’s overall strategy and goals is a key responsibility. The right person will possess strong analytical skills to make decisions around product lines to accelerate profitable growth. Additional focus will center around meeting and exceeding JPW Industries’ organic revenue growth targets and maintaining/growing market share and expanding margins.


WHAT YOU WILL DO: Make an impact.

  • Identify and uncover unmet customer needs for new products/services or line extensions and make recommendations on the product/service features that need to be developed/included 
  • Initiate projects for new or updated products/services or line extensions and prioritize portfolio of projects under development on a regular basis 
  • Help with the required analyses to determine the recommended prices and pricing policies for new or updated products/services or extensions 
  • Coordinate with the Marketing and Sales teams to develop and implement a marketing strategy and plan (including targeted programs and promotions) for each new or updated product/service or extension 
  • Support the launch of new or updated products/services or line extensions and ensure that all the volume, profitability and quality targets defined in the respective business cases are met or exceeded
  • Find information and add to regular industry, market and competitor analyses, including detailed segmentations of end consumers and customers  
  • Coordinate with the marketing and sales teams to review and adjust the marketing strategy, plan (including targeted programs and promotions) and countermeasures for all existing product/service lines based on performance 
  • Ensure pricing changes to all existing product/service lines to cover for inflation, market trends, competitor actions, changes to offer structure or features, and/or lifecycle stages 
  • Coordinate with the sales team to review and adjust the distribution strategy for each product/service line based on performance 
  • Interact with engineering to ensure product design, quality, reliability and profitability goals are met 
  • Recommend product/service changes to the engineering or service fulfillment teams based on customer feedback, product/service line reviews or opportunities for productivity enhancement 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Entrepreneurial Mindset. Creativity. Drive. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or relevant field (Masters a plus!)
  • 3-5 years’ relevant experience
  • Travel up to 20% (international and domestic)
  • Understanding of and exposure to product development projects 
  • Analytical ability to quantify opportunities from an external market and internal P&L viewpoint
  • Decision making skills to determine the most important initiatives 
  • Drive to push projects and tasks through to completion
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and influencing other
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Self-driven with a desire to grow professionally 
  • Positive contributor to the Product Management team and Company culture
